Procrastination and avoidance
You know what to do. You are not doing it.
→ Your system has decided the task is a threat, and it is backing away.
- The task is specific and you keep going around it
- Thinking about it costs more than doing it would
- You have energy for other things
- Every day you avoid it, it grows
What's actually happening
Avoidance is not laziness. It is the system backing away from a perceived threat, and every day of avoidance teaches it that it was right to. What breaks it is making the entry small enough that nothing objects.
Practices
Start with whichever is most available to you right now. The first groups tend to work soonest; the later ones build over time.
Breath
- Bellows Breath
A vigorous pump that floods the system with energy and heat.
- Skull-Shining Breath
Clearing the head and brightening the whole system.
- Cyclic Hyperventilation
A powerful surge of energy, heat, and elevated mood.
- Spinal Breathing
The deepest and most complete of all the breath practices: opening the central channel and drawing the life force upward.
- The Great Lock
The most powerful of the sealing practices: pressurising the central channel to drive the life force upward.
